Lot #17 ACTA

The blend in “DEEDS Redone” is a reversal of the typical assemblage for ACTA’s signature proprietary red blend, DEEDS. Whereas they craft DEEDS in a “right bank” fashion, which features Merlot predominantly, this special auction lot highlights Cabernet Sauvignon as the dominant varietal. The Battle Family Vineyard, and specifically the singular block that is highlighted in this blend, sits high in the eastern, rolling hills of the Chalk Hill area. East Soda Rock Lane vineyard, lying amid the valley floor and just east of the Russian River, adds great intensity from the Merlot, Cabernet Franc and a splash of Cabernet Sauvignon that rounds out the blend.

ACTA sits squarely in the heart of Alexander Valley and the property has history dating back over 100 years, including some of the old vine plantings that were part of the decision to make this the home of ACTA and rehabilitate this incredible piece of land.

“DEEDS Redone” shows hints of tobacco and leather combined with lilac on the nose. Blueberry, blackcurrant and stewed plum are present across the entire palate and are paired with the distinct and abundant tannin from both fruit and barrel.
