Lot #34 Joseph Jewell Wines, Panther Ridge Wines, Brooks Note Winery

This collaboration between Joseph Jewell Wines, Panther Ridge Wines, and Brooks Note Winery is a Never Before, Never Again small lot of Pinot Noir from their shared vineyard source, Panther Ridge Vineyard, in the Petaluma Gap. The vineyard is farmed Certified Organic, and biodynamic practices are in place by Suzanne Farver, owner of Panther Ridge Vineyard. Together, Winemakers Adrian Manspeaker and Gary Brooks will be blending their unique expressions of this incredible vineyard site into the “Fellowship of the Panther” Pinot Noir.

Panther Ridge Vineyard is perched at 1,000 feet on Sonoma Mountain, where winds from the Petaluma Gap cause the grape skins to be thicker than in other Sonoma County AVAs. The result is a bolder, more tannic expression of Pinot Noir, beautifully balanced by the cooling fog from the Pacific. The resulting wine is rich with dark red cherries, plums, earthiness, and more delicate floral components like violets. Considering the balanced acidity to tannin structure, this wine has the potential to age longer than more thinned-skinned Pinot Noir, for enjoyment up to 15 years and beyond.
