“ITG” is the first wine of its kind and was made specifically for the 2023 Sonoma County Barrel Auction. It is a blend of Pinot Noirs from the seven different growers Saintsbury sources from in Sonoma County, highlighting the craftsmanship of the grower and winemaker. The big sports fans at Saintsbury want to say that they are “In the Game” with this debut auction lot! However, they are no rookies. Saintsbury has over 40 years of history working with Sonoma fruit. This wine showcases just how seriously they take their craft.

A second-generation, family-owned and operated winery since 1981, Saintsbury was established with a curious spirit and is recognized as an early producer of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in Northern California. Based in Carneros, Saintsbury thoughtfully pursues exceptional vineyards, varieties, and farmers throughout California. Working with growers that are passionate and only use sustainable practices is the basis for their thoughtfulness in the glass.

Through this bottling, you’ll take a drive through the distinctive terroir of Sonoma County. The cool windy vineyards of Sonoma Coast and the Petaluma Gap, to the sunny vineyards of Russian River; balancing between structure and vibrancy with fleshy fruit character. This wine will pair fantastically with game-day, oven-baked chicken wings, or a more serious duck confit.
