ABOUT THE WINE:

Find out what happens when generations of farming knowledge come together in one special Pinot Noir! Winemaker Matt Duffy has put together a blend from two historic farming families that have a combined 165+ year history of Sonoma County viticulture. He selected the best barrels to create a blend of Bacigalupi Vineyards and Sangiacomo Vineyards Pinot Noir for this never-before-seen wine dubbed “Generations of Pinot.”

Being able to tell the story of this generational commitment to Sonoma County through these historic family vineyards is a humbling honor for Vaughn Duffy. The first-generation, family-owned winery has been making small lots of Sonoma County Pinot Noir for 15 years.

Taking a hands-on approach and making the wines in small, 1-ton lots, Matt is able to craft diverse and distinctive Pinot Noir from every vintage with the ultimate goal of letting the vineyards shine in every bottle. This wine shows the complexity that comes when you combine two unique appellations. The Pinot Noir from Bacigalupi provides a classic bright red fruit profile that is the hallmark of Russian River Valley. The cooler Petaluma Gap location of the Sangiacomo Vineyard provides an earthiness and darker-fruited profile to build a truly harmonious and complex Pinot Noir.
