This spectacular “4×4 by Vineyard Eleven” auction lot is made from a four-barrel selection of the four clones (Swan, Mt. Eden, Pommard and UV-Vosne Romanèe) planted at Domaine de la Rivière’s Vineyard Eleven. This estate vineyard is located on a ridgeline between Eastside Road and Starr Road in the Middle Reach Neighborhood, and sits just above the Russian River. Its location benefits from the cooling fog from the Petaluma Gap and Russian River, complemented by warm afternoon sun to promote a long, well balanced growing season.

Domaine de la Rivière winery is family owned and led by proprietors Marla and Geoff Bedrosian and their son Duff. They are dedicated to crafting limited production, age-worthy wines that create memorable experiences. Winemaker Kale Anderson is a Sonoma County native and strives to pay homage to the terroir by blending traditional and modern winemaking practices showcasing the uniqueness of each vintage by using varying amounts of whole cluster and native fermentation.

The winning bidder can expect a true Russian River Valley, Middle Reach Pinot Noir from this lot, reflecting dark cherry, raspberry, dark plum and allspice flavors with rich lush tannins.
