Representing Alexander Valley at its best, “The Pick of the Bunch” reflects top winegrowing selections from the prosperous 2021 vintage. “The Pick of the Bunch” has both literal and referential significance. This lot name represents the wine’s unique composition, using the best fruit the 2021 vintage had to offer. It’s also a play on “the Bunch” or how Silver Oak refers to its family of employees. Each member of the Bunch plays an important role in the Silver Oak legacy, just as each one-of-a-kind lot from its winemaking team contributes to the Sonoma County Vintners mission and the premier reputation of the wine region.

Family-owned for 50 years, Silver Oak produces Cabernet Sauvignon wines aged exclusively in American oak. Its exceptional, food-friendly wines are both drinkable upon release and worthy of cellaring for decades to come. Ray Duncan founded Silver Oak with Justin Meyer in 1972, and it’s now owned and operated by Ray’s sons, David and Tim, with a commitment to innovative and sustainable viticulture practices across its vineyard properties, winemaking facilities, tasting rooms and cooperage.

The vineyard sources for this bottling (mostly estate sites) span the entire length of the Alexander Valley AVA. This diversity contributes to the aromatic and textural aspects of the wine. With notes of black currant, cassis, sweet spice and vanilla, this one-of-a-kind wine has a juicy mid-palate, plush mouthfeel and supple tannin expression.
