Lot #18 DuMOL

Winemaker, Viticulturist and Partner Andy Smith crafts wines of depth, clarity and elegance through attention to detail in the vineyards and vintage-specific winegrowing. He is dedicated to crafting highly nuanced, vineyard-focused Pinot Noirs from distinctive sites in the cool-climate Russian River Valley, within a 10 mile radius, in a hyperlocal area within Green Valley.

Their 2024 SoCoBA lot offering is from a nearby vineyard that DuMOL has worked with for over 20 years. In the past, they have incorporated this fruit into their flagship Finn Pinot Noir, but have never bottled it as a standalone wine until now. This special vineyard is literally over the hillside from their DuMOL estate vineyards, and as such inspired the name for this unique lot.

Expect a kaleidoscopic range of aromas and flavors in the finished wine, from bright, crunchy red to deep, dark black fruits with a woodsy, savory complexity. There is a lovely purity of fruit on the palate with significant structure and vibrant acidity, and a lilting lifted finish.
