Lot #22 Domaine de la Rivière

The “Barrel Brothers” auction lot is made from special barrel selections of Pommard and UV-Vosne Romanèe Pinot Noir clones from Domaine de la Rivière’s estate, Vineyard eleven. The “Barrel Brothers” (Duff and Zak Bedrosian) worked with winemaker Kale Anderson to craft a unique blend of their favorite clones. Vineyard eleven is located on a ridgeline between Eastside and Starr Roads in the Middle Reach Neighborhood of the Russian River Valley. It sits just above the Russian River and benefits from the morning fog of the Petaluma Gap and Russian River, complemented by warm afternoons.

Domaine de la Rivière is family owned and managed by proprietors Marla and Geoff Bedrosian, and their sons Duff and Zak. They are dedicated to crafting limited production, age-worthy wines that create memorable experiences. Winemaker Kale Anderson is a Sonoma County native and strives to pay homage to the terroir by blending traditional and modern winemaking practices, showcasing the uniqueness of each vintage by using varying amounts of whole cluster and native fermentation. The winning bidder can expect a true Russian River Valley, Middle Reach Pinot Noir from this lot, reflecting dark cherry, raspberry, dark plum and allspice flavors with rich lush tannins.
