ABOUT THE WINE:

Adobe Road lives by the mantra that rules were made to be broken. Flying in the face of traditional winemaking norms is an area where they excel. This lot is a perfect example. A nod to France’s Rhône River valley with its feet firmly rooted in Sonoma County, this “Fast Cars & Fine Wines” blend is truly bespoke.

Championship racecar driver Kevin Buckler started Adobe Road Winery in 2002. Together with Adobe Road Winemaker Garrett Martin, Kevin enjoys pushing the envelope in the wine cellar just as he does on the racetrack. Their wines have been awarded over seventy 90+ scores from Wine Spectator and Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate. Their sister company, The Racers Group, has reached the pinnacle of endurance racing with four wins at the 24 Hours of Daytona, a win at the 24 hours of Le Mans and seven series championships with Kevin as the lead driver.

Garrett brings his master blending approach to this wine, coaxing the best out of each vineyard and block and expertly weaving the flavors together, even with the addition of a white wine in this red blend. A dark, velvety mouthfeel of Petite Sirah is softened and enhanced by the addition of famous Rhône varietals. Melted licorice meets wild strawberry in this powerful yet refined blend.
