It was not an easy task to make 20 exclusive cases of one wine from 20 different vineyards but it was well worth the effort. Williams Selyem sources amazing grapes from Russian River Valley vineyards that comprise their vineyard designate wines as well as their appellation wines. This year’s special barrel auction lot represents an equal part blend of all 20 of their Russian River Valley vineyards. This “20-1-20” wine pays tribute to the origins of the winery and showcases the beauty and diversity of sites in the Russian River Valley.

Williams Selyem is synonymous with the Russian River Valley in Sonoma County. Burt Williams and Ed Selyem started on a mission in the late 1970s to produce distinctive, hand-crafted wines with a sense of place. They sourced fruit from outstanding vineyards and growers in the Russian River Valley from renowned sites such as the Allen and Rochioli Vineyards. Through thoughtful winemaking and a focus on quality, Burt and Ed helped bring notoriety to the young appellation at that time. The soul of Williams Selyem certainly lies in the Russian River Valley with the winery being located on the historic Westside Road.
