Lot #6 Balletto Vineyards

This “Classic Sebastopol Hills” custom blend encompasses the best of the Balletto family’s Sebastopol Hills vineyard sites. It features grapes from the warm sun on Cider Ridge, the cool north-west facing Sexton Hill, and finally the vineyard that started it all – Burnside Road which was planted in 1995 by John Balletto and was the first vineyard in the area that is now the highly acclaimed Sebastopol Hills.

The Balletto family own over 800 acres of vineyards in the Russian River Valley. Winemaker Anthony Beckman is given first choice from these vineyards, selecting only 5% of all the grapes grown for the Balletto label. The remaining grapes are sold to other well-known Sonoma and Napa wineries. Their 100% certified sustainable vineyards incorporate cover crops, composting, natural pest control, habitat management and recycled water. Balletto Vineyards is a 100% solar powered winery.

The wine is everything you would expect from these cold, low-lying and wind swept hills. Get ready for flavors of spice and earth with structure, tannins and wonderful natural acidity. It’s both light and fresh yet serious and age worthy.
